God's free gift of salvation is for sinners only
The outstanding characteristic of the Gospel of Christ is that it is designed only for self-judged, condemned sinners. Those who realize their need of salvation are the only ones who can be helped by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Self-sufficient, self-righteous, haughty, proud men do not care for the Gospel of Christ. But the broken and guilty in heart, realizing their condemnation before a holy God, rejoice in the message of free grace set forth in the Gospel.
In this short article, the Scriptures themselves are used to reveal that salvation is for sinners only. If you, dear reader, are such a one, and realize you have need of salvation, read this message carefully.

There is a Fountain filled with blood
Drawn from lmmanuel’s veins;
And sinners plunged beneath that flood,
Lose all their guilty stains:
The dying thief rejoiced to see
That Fountain in his day;
And there may I, though vile as he,
Wash all my sins away.
Dear dying Lamb, Thy precious blood
Shall never lose its power,
Till all the ransomed church of God
Be saved, to sin no more.
E’er since by faith I saw the stream
Thy flowing wounds supply,
Redeeming love has been my theme,
And shall be till I die.
When this poor lisping, stammering tongue
Lies silent in the grave,
Then in a nobler, sweeter song,
I’ll sing Thy power to save.
“The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.” -- I John 1: 7
